If you order carbon-based cartridges, you might wish to order a Chlorine Test Kit as well. The test kit can be used to determine whether the cartridges' adsorptive capacity is exhausted and cartridge change is needed. However, your feed water must be chlorinated in order that the test kit may work - the principle is that, if the cartridge is exhausted in capacity, it will neither be able to adsorb more chlorine nor other carbon-removable impurities in the water.

Pleated High-capacity Sediment Cartridges

GAC/KDF Media Cartridge
Similar to GAC-20BB cartridge above, but rated at 60,000 gallons at 1ppm chlorine, and will reduce the acidity (pH) of the feed water by 0.2 to 2.0 pH points (depends on feedwater pH and flow rate).

Iron Removal Cartridge RFFE-20BB (=FPIR-BB-20)
The media is a trade name MAZ that is a permaganate media blend to remove ferrous iron at less than 3ppm level and will remove some manganese at levels less than 1ppm:

- Removes manganese at levels less than 1ppm
